Tornado in Vancouver, WA

Oh-kay. This is freaking insane! I left Tex-ASS and Okie-La-La-Homa to get away from tornados. So...what do we have in Vancouver, just across the Columbia River from Portland? A freaking tornado! There is no damage reported yet but power is out in some areas. No word yet on casualties or injuries, but hope my ex-wife was playing outside when it hit. >wink<

I'm not going to go into the whole global Warming debate...but, you gotta admit this is some pretty freaky weather.

Updates:
There are reports of some damage coming in right now and there are some pictures of damage on the local television stations. KGW has a slideshow of photos sent in by viewers.

Here is a link for past tornados in this area and here is a link for tornado risks in your area.

One time there was a reallllly bad tornado in Vancouver, WA back in 1972. The casualty was about 300. They're rare (since that's the last one that happened).

Good luck!!

Actually, there were 300 injured and 6 dead.

It's still a very scary thing to happen in this neck of the woods.

According to the disaster center, the risk from tornados in Washington state ranks 39. Oregon ranks 47. Total deaths from tornados, in Washington, since 1950 is *6*.
